El-Salam Oil Spill Response Center

El-Salam Oil Spill Response Center is one of the most prominent environmental institutions in the Red Sea region. Located in Sharm El-Sheikh, the center covers a strategic area extending from Taba in the north to Ras Gara in the south. Established with the support of the European Union, the center commenced full operations in 2003 and today stands as a cornerstone in Egypt’s rapid response system to marine pollution incidents.
